Quaint Living in Quail Hollow

Quail Hollow is one of Raleigh’s larger neighborhoods that’s nestled right near the Beltline, Falls of the Neuse Rd, and Millbrook Rd. It’s just a couple minutes away from North Hill’s, Raleigh’s vibrant Midtown shopping and entertainment district.  The community’s has a premiere location placing it less than 15 minutes away from downtown Raleigh, including NC State University, Meredith College, several other universities, and all the exciting nightlife, restaurants, and shops that Raleigh has to offer.

There are also several K-12 schools in the area, including Exploris Middle School and Millbrook elementary, middle, and high schools. Quail Hollow also has a Swim & Tennis Club that’s located in the neighborhood with memberships available for residents. Connected to the border of the neighborhood is the Quail Corners Shopping Market, which features a coffee shop, butcher’s market, and additional, local specialty shops and restaurants.

The neighborhood has a wonderful sense of community with multiple family events scheduled throughout the year, such as block parties or holiday parades. There are wide sidewalks and tree-lined streets, making the neighborhood a beautiful place to walk through. Located in the middle of the neighborhood is Eastgate Park, which features a gorgeous lake setting with a basketball court, three tennis courts, a multipurpose athletic field, and two playgrounds suitable for children ages 5-12. There are also covered picnic areas along the park’s walking paths that go along part of the lake.

Quail Hollow offers properties in a variety of architectural styles. You’ll find split-levels, ranches, colonial, craftsman, and cape-cod styled single-family homes throughout the neighborhood, a number of which built between 1960 and 1996. There are also fairly newer homes built in the 2,000’s with more modern features and floor-plans. The majority of the homes have private fenced-in backyards, two levels, and one or two car garages. Some homes highlight classically Southern features, such as columns and wide front porches. The beautiful landscaping of the homes creates and inviting and tranquil setting for residents to enjoy. The neighborhood even has a handful of “free libraries” where residents can leave a book and take a book to contribute to the community and inspire readers.
